artichoke tea. answer this if you know what dat is!?
is artichoke tea naturally sweet? it tastes very sweet to me? anyway, if so does it contain a lot of sugar? i drink about 4 cups a day coz it's good for my skin and spots but i don't wanna end up having diabetes or something. so can someone tell me if it has a high sugar content, depends? it could be natural or artificial? whatever? i did a search on google, but the sites just wanted to sell artichoke tea to me. so some help? thank you
Sugar is not the only thing that taste sweet. There are quite a few compounds that actually taste sweet like sugar or even sweeter than sugar.
One particular plant that is 300 times sweeter than sugar is the Stevia Ribuadiana. Because Stevia has a negligible effect on blood glucose(no effect on Blood Sugar level), it is attractive as a Natural Sweetener to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.
If you have been drinking the tea for like years and nothing happens, you are good to go. If you don't feel safe after all these years, go take a blood test to determine the blood sugar level.
