Besides Scarring, Can Biting The Inside Of Your Mouth Cause Problems?
For as long as I can remember, I've bitten the inside of my mouth. It's scarred me but I don't mind. Sometimes I notice if I do it too much and I don't eat anything, I feel nauseous. But I think that's the whole "don't eat gum on an empty stomach" my body thinks I'm eating kind of thing. I also know that if you drink too much human blood then you can get sick. I've checked online, but I can't really get enough information.
Well, I have bitten the inside of my mouth for years and plus I'm a smoker. I have a condition called Leukoplakia which is seen as white patches of tissue in the affected areas. Unfortunately, leukoplakia has some risks of oral cancer.
If you don't have any white patches then that is good, but you can chew your cheeks thin (if that is where you chew/bite most).
Other than that, I don't know.
