Is this psoriasis or something else ...?

I'm 22 and I've always noticed that the skin on my knees is very rough, scaly and dark. Sometimes, but not very often, the skin may crack and bleed. could be eczema, psoriasis, or just the old dry skin, which can all break out in winter when outside air is drier and manage your heat inside dries the air at home. definitely see a doctor if it is a symptom of something more serious. in the meantime the suggestion of the hydrocortisone cream is a good idea, in combination with a really heavy duty moisturizer like Eucerin. Also, antihistamines as Benadryl may help relieve itching, but they can also make you drowsy. all these things, and their lower cost generic equivalent, can be found at Wal-Mart or Walgreens on the counter.
