Where to find rare ingredients?
I want to make a drink called traditional Ecuadorian colada morada, and I have no idea of where to find certain ingredients. Here's what I need: Scientific Name - Common name (part I need for the recipe) Solanum quitoense - naranjilla, Lulo (fruit) Myrcianthes hallii - Arrayan (leaves) Amaranthus caudatus - Ataco, amaranth (red head purlple any flowering) quixos Ocotea - Ishpingo, cinnamon U.S. (fruit calyx of flower /) Vaccinium myttillus - Mortino, Andean blue berries, blueberry (fruit) Carica pentagona - Babaco, papaya, mountain Champagne fruit (fruit) Aloysia triphylla - hierba luisa, vervain (leaf) I want to find all as fresh, but dried herbs if I would take anything else is available. If anyone has info on where to buy or at least looking for these ingredients, I would appreciate your help. Thank you in advance!
you may want to research online and for them - I do not know any store that carries them. you could Berkeley Bowl but want to try the fruit and stuff. they pretty exotic stuff and many different varieties.
