Why did my basil-blackberry crumble come out so watery?
The ingredients called for apples, basil leaves, blackberries, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar and the brown sugar and butter for the crumble. I made it with BLUEBERRIES the first time and it came out great. This time, when I cut into it, it was watery...was it the blackberries? It said cook for 30 min.
Did you dry the berries thoroughly after washing? Not drying berries has made muffins too runny for me before.
Also, if you didn't allow adequate time for it to cool before you cut into it, it will be runny.
That recipe doesn't sound very good either. Maybe you need a new one.
